What Maryland FAMLI costs you, and the date you cannot miss.
You do not need to sign up to use this tool. Contributions start 1 January 2027 and the written notice to your employees is due before that.
We've built 50+ tools like this used by millions. You can tell us what task eats the most of your week and we'll show you (for free) what it would take to automate it.

What this tool does not do
- It estimates. Figures come from the numbers you typed and the published rates, not from your payroll records.
- It is not a filing. Nothing here reaches Maryland. You still register, report and pay through the FAMLI portal yourself.
- It cannot get a private plan approved. It tells you what the Declaration of Intent involves and whether the time still fits. FAMLI decides.
If a number looks wrong, tell us. Write to hello@02launch.com and say what you were looking at. We have a dedicated engineer who fixes it within 6 hours of you telling us.
Who made this
Our team at 02Launch.com finds creative ways to use AI to drastically reduce your workload. We made this calculator because the FAMLI rules are spread across five COMAR chapters and nobody had put them in one place.
What a 30 minute call with our AI engineers does for you:
- Your actual payroll file, not a typed estimate. Every employee read individually, so the wage cap lands per person and the number you hand your CFO is the real one.
- The blank field that doubles your rate, caught before you file. Out of state headcount has to be on the quarterly report. Leave it empty and you are reclassified from 0.45% to 0.9%.
- The rest of the calendar, not just this deadline. FAMLI is one line on a compliance calendar you keep by hand. The same build watches the others and tells you when one moves.
